Tetragonula clypearis – Bamboo transfer

Just back from a trip to North Qld with Tim Heard – Sugarbag Bees. I’ll add a few posts over the week with some interesting stuff! They have a couple of species we don’t have in Brisbane. Tetragonula clypearis and Tetragonula sapiens. Richard brought this section of bamboo along to a workshop, he calls it the Bambee. Tim transferred some clypearis brood in with a few bees. It doesn’t look like much of a colony but clypearis apparently are a pretty hardcore bee and tiny colonies seem to be normal up there.
