Native Bee workshop held at Rockhampton, with over 50 people attending the workshop showing huge interest in the area and some making the trip from Gladstone. The day started with Tim Heard’s presentation on native bees and pollination on various crops and then progressed in to the courtyard for a couple of log transfers and hive splitting demonstrations.

One issue raised in conversations I had was the lack of availability of timber for making hive boxes with timber yards mainly selling treated timbers.
