Tetragonula biroi – Philippines

Adam Bunz, a Canadian currently living in the Philippines sent me these photos of the species Tetragonula biroi. The coconut shells can be added so the bees fill it with resources and can be removed and scraped out.

Bees are also kept in the standard design boxes. The Government has been running projects for a few years to help increase stingless bee hive numbers and assist local farmers.
